CUAD in the press
Article today in the Geelong Advertiser, covering our planned Clean Up Australia Day activities this Sunday.
Always good to get some space in the papers, still wondering about the titles of the articles though – “Bums rush to clean up Torquay” is the headline this time, most witty!!

TORQUAY’S Clean Up Australia campaign will have a distinctly cheeky feel again this year.
Point Impossible nudists will take part in this year’s environmentally-friendly day on Sunday, March 1.
This is the third year users of the clothing optional beach have taken the positive action of registering the area as an official Clean Up Australia site. They have called on beach users, both local and tourists, to invest some of their time into making sure the beach remains a place of beauty.
“The effort on Clean Up Australia Day sends an important signal that beach users are prepared to take responsibility, and make a contribution to ensuring that Point Impossible remains Victoria’s premier clothing optional beach,” event co-ordinator Rob Stephenson said.
The Surf Coast Shire has granted the group a special exemption to access the protected dune area for the duration of the clean up, while the Great Ocean Road Coast Committee will again loan some equipment and help in removing the rubbish collected.
“Following the clean up, we will be making time to enjoy the beach, naturally,” Mr Stephenson said.
Anyone interested can meet at the Point Impossible car park at 9.30am on the Sunday, and are asked to bring gloves, bags and buckets for collecting broken glass and other litter.

CUAD at Pt Impossible is this weekend!! Please show your support for our beaches and come along to help out. It’s only a few hours of your time to help us keep one of the best CO beaches in Victoria open. And remember, the dunes and the carpark are not CO areas. See you all Sunday!!
